What is 2D Digital ?
2D Digital uses the same cutting-edge digital technology of our 3D Digital experience but the movie is shown without the 3D effect. This means you'll see the same extraordinary benefits as MegaStar 3D-brighter and sharper images with superior digital sound.
Should I watch Digital or Standard ?
"Standard" means that the movie will be presented using traditional 35mm film prints. The projector casts a bright light behind a piece of film similar to what you might have in a film camera.

"Digital" represents the latest in cinema technology. Film prints are replaced with computer files. A very powerful computer and digital projector are used in a digital cinema. Images are brighter, sharper with superior digital sound. Subtitles appear crisper and are easier to read.
What are the differences between film formats -- should I select: Kungfu Panda 2, Kungfu Panda 2 (Digital), 3D Kungfu Panda 2, Kungfu Panda 2 (M Cinema)?
Many new blockbuster releases offer several choices for film formats. For example, Kungfu Panda 2 is shown in 4 different formats.

Kungfu Panda 2: movie is shown in the familiar 35mm 2D prints.

Kungfu Panda 2 (Digital): movie is shown with newer 2D Digital technology using our 3D Digital projectors. This means you'll see the exact same extraordinary benefits as MegaStar 3D-brighter and sharper 2D images with superior digital sound.

3D Kungfu Panda 2: movie is shown with 3D Dolby Digital technology. You’ll need special 3D glasses to see the movie to its full effect.

What is 3D?

What is G?
G movies are suitable for general audiences. They are screened through a censorship process by The Cinema Department -- part of The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Travel of Vietnam. Enjoy the movies with your family and friends.
What is NC16?
NC16 movies are age-restricted movies containing mature themes and situations more suitable for an older audience. No children under 16 is allowed entry. Age verification may be required when purchasing NC16 movie tickets. As is the case with all theatrical releases in Vietnam, each movie release is screened through a censorship process by The Cinema Department -- part of The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Travel of Vietnam -- to ensure that it is suitable for public viewing. Regardless of rating, certain scenes of movies may have been asked to be modified or removed by The Cinema Department to adhere to these standards.
How do movies get approved for release in Vietnam?
As is the case with all theatrical releases in Vietnam, each movie release is screened through a rigorous censorship process by The Cinema Department -- part of The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Travel of Vietnam -- to ensure that it is suitable for public viewing. Regardless of rating, certain scenes of movies may have been asked to be modified or removed by The Cinema Department to adhere to these standards, either some movies are not approved to release in Vietnam.

You cannot use 01 ID/ passport number to register many StarCLUB accounts. In addition, we may require other photo identification that matches the name listed on the booking in order to pick up tickets. We may also request to see the credit or ATM card used for an online purchase.
What is the StarCLUB card used for?
Each time you go to the movies, make sure you present your iconic membership card. For all eligible purchases, your spending will be converted to points. These points can be exchanged for many rewards. Your purchase history will help us learn more about you also, and if we know what movies you like to see, we can send you offers specific to your taste or invites to gala events. If you are purchasing tickets online, make sure you log into the website first so that we can record your transaction.

How do I apply to join the MegaStar StarCLUB?

How do I collect my membership card?
MegaStar will send you a confirmation link after you register for a new account, after confirm your account, you can receive your StarCLUB card at your nearest MegaStar Cineplex anytime. For customers who have registered before 23/05/2012, please log in to our website and update your profile information. Updating your profile allows you redeem points in the future, and we can better serve you when we have your preferences.  Once your profile has been updated, you can pick up your StarCLUB card.  During the initial launch period, we have service kiosks available for you to update your profile as well. 
Why do I need to bring photo identification and/or Passport to collect my membership card?
This security measure is in place for the interests of our members and allows us to link your new membership card to you properly.
Is my membership card transferable?
Sorry, your membership card is strictly non-transferable.
Am I able to hold more than one membership card?
Members are not permitted to hold multiple cards as each membership card is uniquely tagged to your identity. We encourage each household member to create his/her own StarCLUB membership so we can deliver targeted offers and promotions uniquely suited to each person.
Will my membership expire?
Your membership is valid with MegaStar membership program. It’s a lifetime membership, but your points are valid for 3 years and must be used by the end of that calendar year for those points.
What happens when I forget to bring along my membership card to the movies?
Your card must be presented (or swiped) at the time of purchase to collect any points for this program. Points cannot be rewarded retroactively except in extreme cases (such as a computer system failure).
I have misplaced my membership card, how do I get it replaced?
To ensure that your points are not used by an unauthorized person, you should immediately report the loss of your membership card. Please contact us at guess service and send email to service@megastarmedia.net. Kindly note there is a 50,000 VND replacement fee.
How do I redeem for various gifts at the Concession?
Simple present your StarCLUB membership card at the Concession and chose your free gift like My Combo. A maximum of 1 redemption is allowed per day.
How do I tell you guys about my new email address?
You need to send request email to us at service@megastarmedia.net, after verifying your account, we will update it for you.
How can I change my gender and birthday?
By default that fields are unchangeable, if you make any mistake when input it at the registration, please send us a request email via service@megastarmedia.net, we will update it for you.
Can I use my card to buy Group Sales tickets?
The member card program cannot be use with other incentive or corporate discount promotion; therefore, you cannot earn point with Group Sales tickets. But, if you buy a large amount of the ticket with normal price, you still can earn your point from that transaction. A maximum of 1,000 points will be awarded to any membership account in one day.
What is the different between Star and SuperStar level?
Star level can earn 1 point of any 1.000 VND spend, SuperStar level can earn 1 point of any 900 VND spend. You can upgrade to SuperStar level when earning 15.000 lifetime points. To maintain your SuperStar membership level, simply make at least 1 transaction of at least 45,000 VND every 3 months. To regain your SuperStar membership level, simply collect an additional 2,000 points..
What is the different between rewards point and lifetime point?
Rewards Point is used for exchanging your rewards.

Gift Card
What is benefit of Gift Cards?
Gift Cards are honored, just like cash at the box office or concession counters to purchase tickets, foods and drinks at MegaStar Cineplex nationwide.
Can Gift Cards be reloaded?
Gift Card can be reloaded at any time with a minimum recharge amount of 250,000 VND. Please contact our Box Office to reload your Gift Card.
Can Gift Cards be redeemed online?
Gift Card cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be replaced if they are lost or stolen, cannot be used or redeemed to purchase other Gift Card, cannot be resold, and cannot be redeemed online.
What if I don’t spend all value of a Gift Card for any purchase?
Any purchase less than the value of a Gift Card causes the unused balance to be placed in the account of the Gift Card recipient for use in a future transaction.
What if I spend exceedingly the value of a Gift Card?
Any purchase exceeding the value of a Gift Card requires the use of a valid credit card or cash to complete the transaction.
Validation of Gift Card?
Gift Cards can be used until the balance reaches zero or until 1 year after it was purchased - whichever comes first. The holder can ask the cashier at box office to check the validity of Gift Card anytime. MegaStar is not responsible for Gift Card still has balance in account out of expiry date.

- Customers are entitled to verify data at MegaStar Cineplex within one month from the date of error transaction.

How do I make an online payment?
You can purchase your tickets online with these steps:

1. Sign in to your StarCLUB account
2. Go to Session Times/ Booking and select your tickets by movies, by date or by cinemas
3. Select your seats
4. On payment option, choose "Pay Now". Then you will be moved to the online payment page.

Choose from several payment options including: Ngan Luong eWallet, VISA/MasterCard (Vietnam Domestic) or mostly ATM Card (Vietnam Domestic Banks) as Vietcombank, Đông Á Bank, Vietinbank, VIB, HD Bank, Maritime Bank, Techcombank, Eximbank, Tiền Phong bank, SHB, Việt Á Bank.
Why didn't I get my booking confirmation?
You will receive an email that confirms all your online booking details to your mailbox within 30 minutes of completing your order. In case you have successfully paid your order, but have not received an email confirmation within 30 minutes, be sure to check your spam or junk mail box and mark MegaStar as safe sender.

Also, you will receive a FREE SMS confirmation to the mobile number as indicated on your order.

You can also review your previous reservations by logging into to your StarCLUB account. Go to "Order History" from the profile page, select the indicated reservation with a check-box and click on the "Resend confirmation email" button.
Can I cancel or modify my booking?
Currently our online system does not support order cancellations or modifications for confirmed orders. Per our existing box office ticket sales policy, we do not provide successful order refunds or changes.

Refunds are allowed in the rare case when your account is billed but there is no matching order in our ticketing system. For any related matters, all you need is contact cinemas which you have just done the transaction by click here or you can email us at service@megastarmedia.net.

The standard refund processing times are as follows:
1. Bank ATM card transactions will be refunded within 1 working week
2. Visa/MasterCard transactions will be refunded within 1 working month
3. Vietcombank cardholders will be refunded within 48 working hours.

Please review your tickets and personal information carefully before confirmation.
How soon before the session begins do I need to pick up my tickets?
With online paid tickets, you can come to MegaStar and pick up your tickets anytime before or during the session time. Please allow yourself sufficient travel and queuing time.
What is your response time in case my transaction is unsuccessful?
For any related matters, all you need is contact cinemas which you have just done the transaction by click here or you can email us at service@megastarmedia.net with your full name, booking order details (session time, session date, movie title), whether you were using online payment, and a phone number that we can reach you at. The standard response time is less than 2 business days.
What kind of tickets are listed on website?
All tickets listed on the MegaStar web site are General Admission - Adult unless otherwise noted.

MegaStar cineplex
What are "House Rules"?
House Rules apply for certain movies where the movie studio or movie distributor has requested that all electronic recording devices (cameras, mobile phones, computers, etc.) be banned from inside the cinema room. Your electronics goods will be stored securely and returned back to you after the movie ends. This is typically only for the opening weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) of the movie’s release.

When you see these logos or , you will know that House Rules are in effect for this film.

When watching 3D movies, please use 3D glasses carefully. In the case of loss or damage to the glass, you will be ask for compensation. Therefore, when receiving 3D glasses from our staff before entering the theater, plase check glasses carefully.

Can I bring food bought outside the cinema into the cinema room with me to watch the movie?
To ensure hygiene and safety, only food and beverages purchased at MegaStar floor can be consumed in the cinema.

Also, you should not smoke, use chewing gum, not film, photograph, use cell phone or chat in the cinema.

Please be noted that all the rules above to ensure you and other customers feel maximum comfort while enjoying the movie.
What is the children/senior ticket policy?
MegaStar has the honor of offering for children and senior a special price for sessions of 2D films. Please contact our box office for more information.

Moreover children under 2 years old will be free of ticket charge at MegaStar. He or she will share seat with parents when watching movies.
What are student tickets?
MegaStar has the honor of offering for students a special price for sessions of 2D films on weekdays and before 17:00 on weekends.

What is "M Cinema"?


M Cinema is an indulging, ultra VIP experience at MegaStar Cineplex. Now, Dolby Atmos is exclusively available at cinema 6 MegaStar Hung Vuong Plaza, HCMC. We’re the first cinema in Vietnam and 2nd in South East Asia bringing Dolby Atmos to film fans. Please visit our website regularly to update information about this.
How can I know which movies with Dolby Atmos to have a right choice when booking/ buying tickets?
Please ask our staffs at box office or choose movie with "ATMOS" in the title when book the tickets online. We also add "DOLBY ATMOS" logo onto the movie poster at cinema or website to notify customers.
48FS
What is 48FS?
48FS is a new video technology that greatly improves the movie watching experience by increasing the number of frames per second that you see. Frames per second, or "frame rate", is the number of images (frames) displayed by the projector in one second. 24 frames per second (24FS) is the current standard in cinemas worldwide and has been the traditional format since the beginning of movies. MegaStar Cineplex is making the newest technology available called 48FS which doubles the current standard. Movies will be shown with maximum detail – especially during fast motion scenes.
Why do it?
In 24 FS 3D action sequences, the fast-moving 3D images will appear to break apart, and most audience members will struggle to focus on the images. Increasing the frame rate stops the blurring, flickering and stuttering visuals which will enhance and enrich movie enjoyment. This additional motion picture format provides another option in the movie theater for each consumer’s taste.
Is it film or digital?
48FS movies have been developed as digital technology.
Do I get a choice?
Yes. The film will be released in multiple formats, including 2D, 2D Digital, 3D, 3D 48FS and 3D ATMOS 48FS. Check with your MegaStar Cineplex location for the format of your choice.
Do I need special 3D glasses to view?
The glasses supplied to you by MegaStar for standard 3D presentations can also be used for 48FS presentations.

In addition to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, James Cameron has announced plans to utilize 3D 48FS on Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. Coming in 2014, X-MEN Days of Future Past will also be released in the 48FS format.
